Solar Electric Cooking Initiative (Tanzania)

Atmosfair's flagship project in Tanzania equips schools with solar-powered electric cooking systems. Key features:

• Four 170-liter, 9kW electric cooking kettles serving over 600 students[3][5][2]
• Local partnerships with ENSOL Ltd. and Watu na Umeme Ltd. for project implementation and maintenance[6][2][3]
• Complete replacement of firewood, eliminating biomass cooking and indoor air pollution[2][3]
• Scaling plans for over 100 installations across Tanzania and the region[1][3]
• Contribution to multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 1, 3, 5, 7, 13, and 15[4]

Program of Activities (PoA)

Atmosfair develops integrated energy and cooking projects in up to ten countries, applying Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) small-scale methodologies (AMS-I.E and AMS-II.G) for measurable reductions in emissions and sustainable development.[4]

Atmosfair collaborates with local enterprises, NGOs, and international agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), schools, and technical partners like ENSOL Ltd. and Watu na Umeme Ltd.[3][6]
