Conical Solar Cooker - Onar Archon
The cooker has reached 210°C (410°F) - Onar Archon
This is the portable, low-cost, easy to make and highly efficient Conical Solar Cooker. The funnel shape allows all the sunlight entering the large opening to reach the small one in only one reflection, when oriented towards the sun.
It can be made in a few hours using cardboard and wrapping paper (mylar) and, according to the designers, can achieve temperatures above 200 °C (392 °F) when using a cooking bag. You can get the detailed construction instructions in the pdf tutorial below.
