Stan Wells is a solar cooking enthusiast living in northern California, USA. He has drawn upon his background in electronics to develop a solar cooker tracking device for the Sun Oven, an example of a solar box cooker, but this design should work to allow many different types of solar cookers to follow the sun automatically.

Based on photovoltaic panel differentials, the tracker will rotate the cooker from east to west, and also tip the cooker to stay aligned with the sun as it rises and lowers vertically in the sky. Small electric motors turn wheels beneath the cooker support platform, and a hydraulic arm adjusts the cooker's vertical angle.

In September 2020 Stan's tracker and other solar and off-grid devices were featured on Luther Krueger's solar cooking video series, "The Undisclosed Location Solar Ranch & Cafe." An encore visit will be posted soon to Krueger's Museum Channel.

The best way to stay up to date on his latest developments is to follow his Stan Wells' Facebook page.
