Gianni Crovatto is an Italian designer of solar cookers. His designs have been made in four different sizes, although all of them follow the same pattern: they are made mainly of wood, a square box with round bottom to facilitate the orientation and transportation, a circular window and reflectors that hold over an octagonal base around the glazed area. The biggest models are known as the most efficient and achieve temperatures as high as 370 °C (698 °F). All the reflectors are tipped up, to facilitate storage and transportation.
