Solar Cooking in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve
Dedicated to the preservation of natural resources in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve, Querétaro State, Mexico, the Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda is the founding member of the Sierra Gorda Conservation Alliance. GESG seeks to change culture to embrace the values, technology, and skills of conservation through innovation and sustainable practices.

- February 2016: Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda reports that it is no longer using solar cookers because dogs disturbed the cookers and beans didn't taste the same as when cooked on a fire in clay pots. They were using HotPots.
