The Lumium Butterfly Solar Cooker is a butterfly style solar cooker incorporating partial parabolic reflectors, positioned to direct light to the suspended cook pot. This design appears to focus light more on the sides of the pot rather than the bottom, typical of other butterfly cookers.
Lumium claims the cooker was designed for use in rural India, to be able to cook rotis (Indian bread) apart from other food items, and also aid in charging small electronic appliances such as cell phones. The company mentions the focus of the design was user comfort, ease of operation, transportability of the structure, and storage inside living quarters with limited extra space.
