  • December 2024: Manolo Vilchez, along with his co-author Dieter Seifert, recently published a book entitled Linking Climate Protection and Poverty Reduction. The main objective of this book is to discuss the great opportunities that emerge when we combine Open-Source Appropriate Technology (OSAT) for households in developing countries with global cooperation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. By equipping poor households with sustainable technologies, around one billion tons of CO2 emissions would potentially be saved, and in addition to this, the worldwide cooking fuel crisis could be overcome. The proposals presented in the book focus on innovation institutes and on projects for households, small businesses, and schools in developing countries. Order this product from Amazon.com.
  • January 2014: The eco-shop of Terra.org closes permanently. However, since some of the products we create and ell are not found in any other store, we will respond to purchase requests by telephone or by e-mail, as long as supplies last.
