The article below is about a solar cooking promoter who is now deceased. This information is maintained here as a tribute to the important work done by Margaret Bennett.
Margaret Bennett used and promoted SunStove solar cookers from 1990 to 2020, through the SunStove Organization, Girl Guides, Wildlife Society, and Rotary International. She worked closely with the late Richard Wareham, Programme for Biomass Energy Conservation (PROBEC), and the Association for Renewable Energy Cooking Appliances (AFRECA), empowering over 12,500 people.
Margaret passed away in 2025.
