The Navajo Student Fresnel Solar Cooker is a simple device designed and built by students, at Whitehorse High School located on the Navajo reservation in Montezuma, Utah. Constructed with the supervision of teacher, Paul McCarl, it incorporates a Fresnel lens to focus the sun's rays and allow for the concentrated heat required for frying, ideally suited for making fry bread.
