The Newton Solar Oven 2.0 is an evolution of the Newton Solar Oven. This model, invented by Matteo Muccioli, is a solar oven shaped like a Newton prism but, unlike the first model, this is made with only three glasses and two lateral triangular-shaped wooden doors that act as a closure and support structure for the glass. The glasses are placed on the doors and it is very easy to assemble, disassemble and clean the oven.

This cooker can be used with different geometries of solar concentrators. Using an adequate thermal mass it is possible to exceed 150 °C (302 °F), making almost all types of cooking possible.

  • Insulating the glass panes: Matteo Muccioli has begun experimenting with an accordion style folded paper barrier between double glass panes.
