The application cycle is now open for the 2024 Keeling Curve Prize - The Keeling Curve Prize, the flagship program of the Global Warming Mitigation Project, awards $50,000 annually to each of 10 projects and programs around the world across 5 climate categories that demonstrate the ability to reduce, replace, or remove greenhouse gasses. The extreme weather, catastrophic flooding, and wildfires we have seen this year are a reminder that there is nowhere to hide from global warming. This is a critical moment for climate solutions to receive the jumpstart they need and deserve. Modern Cooking Facility for Africa (MCFA) Call for Proposals 2022 (post application deadline): Applications were due 21 June 2022 (EN/FR) - Private cooking service companies interested in expanding their business of offering affordable, high quality and energy-efficient clean cooking services in the listed project countries of the Modern Cooking Facility for Africa program (MCFA) can apply for funding from NEFCO. Applicants passing the Pre-Qualification stage will be invited to the Final Application stage in Autumn 2022. Biomimicry Institute's Ray of Hope Prize: Applications due 8 April 2022 (EN) - The Ray of Hope Prize® identifies the top nature-inspired startups in the world and fosters their growth by providing sustainable business training, communications support, and opportunities for non-dilutive funding—the top being a $100,000 equity-free prize. Any startup with a nature-inspired product, service, or technology with inherent social or environmental benefits may apply. We are particularly interested in solutions that address carbon sequestration, climate change adaptation or mitigation, critical sustainability challenges, or any of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. To be most competitive for the prize, we recommend that you have at minimum a proof-of-concept prototype and are able to demonstrate some sort of user adoption.
