The Solar Tent dryer/cooker was designed by Amir Komari of Iran. Solar Tent is a new kind of multi purposed portable solar energy device which has been invented recently by A.M. Komarizade and Mr. K. Hatefi from Iran. First it had designed specially for a portable solar dryer. One can dry vegetables and color sensitive fruits on the top floor of the tent under shade state. The temperature will be reach up to 65°C in autumn of Tehran. They use a solar fan for better drying and some ultraviolet LEDs for killing the bacteria under shade of top floor.
Solar tent can also use as a solar cooker by simply closing the intrans and output air doors.
