The SunVenture is a solar box oven made and primarily sold in India. The designer and company owner is Bappu Deshmukh. The sturdy, well-made, cooker is locally popular and suited to locations closer to the equator, as it does not usually include additional reflectors. Bappu Deshmukh explains that international sales can incur high shipping fees.

The cooker maximizes the glazing surface area, which allows for multiple cooking pots, and is available in several sizes. The cooking chamber is relatively shallow, which requires the cook pots to also be shallow.
