Solar Cooking

Tracking[]

How does it track the Sun as it moves in the sky? DOwenWilliams 18:44, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

It's a funnel, not parabolic[]

This really isn't a parabolic cooker. It's basically a funnel cooker, in which a funnel-shaped reflector concentrates sunlight at its narrow end. Parabolic cookers have to be moved frequently or continuously to track the sun as it moves in the sky. Funnel cookers can operate for hours without being moved. However they are less efficient than parabolic cookers. DOwenWilliams (talk) 04:03, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
