Teleka Netango® (meaning “cook with the sun” in a local dialect), is a CBO based in Eenhana, Ohangwena Region in the North of Namibia. We are currently in the process of introducing the CooKit solar panel cookers to many rural living Namibians in an effort to combat climate change and global warming. Our idea is to produce the CooKit solar cooking panels and distribute them to poor and rural living Namibians with the support of our Government (Ministry of Environment) because the cost of importing materials are quite high.

News and recent developmentsEdit

  • April 2010: The CooKit panel was introduced to us by Sol Suffit in Kortrijk, Belgium last year, 2009, while on an official mission to the city of Harelbeke.
