The Tetra Brik Solar Box Cooker, has been designed by Juan Urrutia Sanz, who promotes solar cooking in Spain. The unique construction feature of this solar box cooker is that it is uses individual juice boxes, routinely disposed of, for its structure. It is designed to be user constructed, and involves removing the juice box covers and filling the boxes with crumpled newspaper or even pine needles for insulation. The boxes are then arranged side-by-side in rows and secured with packing tape.
